We carried out a Stage 1 engine software calibration without mechanical changes to the engine.
Result
Stage 1 output is approximately 150 HP and approximately 330 Nm, compared with the stock 116 HP and 280 Nm. The tune focused on more torque for everyday acceleration.
Case details
Extra torque gives you more to work with when overtaking or picking up speed again. That was what the owner of this Tucson wanted: better throttle response and more pulling power through the mid-range. Stage 1 brought estimated output to 150 HP and 330 Nm while retaining the standard mechanical configuration. The project focused on making everyday use of the 1.7 CRDi more enjoyable, with extra torque available when the driver wants to accelerate.
