Client goal
The aim was to improve everyday performance and compare the change using the owner’s normal driving style.
Work done
We carried out a Stage 1 calibration of the 1.7 CRDi engine and used Dragy to compare acceleration before and after the tune.
Result
Estimated output is approximately 150 HP and approximately 310 Nm, up from the stock 116 HP and 260 Nm. In this comparison, 0–60 km/h improved from 9.35 s to 7.60 s — a reduction of 1.75 s.
Case details
Extra performance can be useful even when you prefer a relaxed drive. For this ix35, the brief was to make ordinary acceleration more responsive. We compared the car using the owner’s usual approach: gentle starts and gear changes at around 3,000 rpm. With that driving style, the 0–60 km/h time fell by 1.75 seconds. It shows the benefit of Stage 1 in everyday use. The runs reflected relaxed driving and were not attempts to achieve the quickest possible time.
