Client goal
After having a downpipe fitted, the owner chose to move to Stage 2. The aim was to match the engine software to the revised exhaust setup and unlock more power for acceleration.
Work done
We developed a custom Stage 2 ECU calibration for the car with its downpipe already fitted. The work included DECAT and removal of the electronic top-speed limiter through V-Max OFF. We also checked engine operating parameters under load during a road test.
Result
Stage 2 output is approximately 230 HP and approximately 350 Nm. This stage focused on further power gains higher in the rev range.
Case details
Audi A3 8P 1.8 TFSI with a downpipe fitted — a Stage 2 calibration tailored to the modified exhaust system. We had previously carried out Stage 1 on this car, with an estimated output of 210 HP and 340 Nm from the original 160 HP and 250 Nm. For the next stage, we developed a new ECU calibration to suit the current configuration, focusing on further power gains.
